The shadowy shroud of night was gradually withdrawing. The catapults had been shooting all night. Murk had really managed to ward two assaults from Waywards troops one at the main gate and 1 by water, near Icewind Quay. Only as soon as the morning light scattered the darkness did we see the price we'd paid to endure this night: new cracks and holes in the rocky town walls, a destroyed defensive tower, more homes reduced to rubble, and new fires across the city. At least a couple dozen dead bodies put scattered from the ash, debris, and dust. At nightfall, Waywards war drums started their rumble once more. The catapults were still silent, but they would undoubtedly start singing their deathly song soon. For nine days, Waywards hordes had sieged Murk, and each night the town walls groaned under the volleys of stones and fire hurled in them.
